Interview with Vasudha: Rajesh Pratap Singh

Mood/Style : An overtly modern romantic yet structured collection. There is a lot of fabric development behind the collection such as
Ikat. Extensively used floral embroideries, leather and felt appliqués, pixilated leather sequins. Silk velvets also occupy a significant visibility in the collection.
Name of the Collection: Architectural Romance
Who inspired you for this collection?
I have never worked with florals before. This is a collection that is reflective of romance yet modern architectural romance depicted through floral treatments. It is digital, 3D and very visual in appeal.
Lengths: Ranging from knee length dresses to full length gowns.
Colors: Colors of silver, gold, orange, black and jewel tones.
Fabrics: Handloom ikats and aluminum weaves. Fabric creation using surface treatments like leather sequins, and appliques. Silk velvets have also been used extensively.
Shapes: Anti fit and bubble silhouettes
Accessories: Watch dials and computer parts sandwiched in acrylic and resin, abstract floral in metals and chains have been used to
accessorize the collection.
